Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Awesome place to dine in with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff is great and friendly. Sports bar feel to it. Food is wonderful, and there is some kind of special going on every day.

From the outside i thought this was a diner, but it is more like a Bennigans. Lots of TVs around with games on.Was served by Tiffany and Samantha. I never felt like I had to call on them since they were always very attentive. Other reviews mention that the service is great with very friendly servers. They are spot on. As I sat down, I was greeted by a server and she brought popcorn. This was phenomenal as I just drove 800 miles and was tired and hungry. Per the server's suggestion, I got the Sunday special of the burger, 8 wing appetizer (free with Yelp check-in) and clam chowder soup for $2.39?. I ordered the Sunday special of $4.99 rounder burger (normally $8.49) and made it a blu n black for $1.99 additional. So to recap, I had 8 wings, a bowl clam chowder(not the best I have had, but I have had a few), 8 sweet sriarchi wings with blue cheese & ranch and a black n blue burger with broccoli. Needless to say I was full, had left overs and a pretty happy camper.

This place is awesome!! On Saturday night they were one of the only places to serve food after 11pm. I walked in at 11:45pm and they told us the kitchen closed at midnight. We placed our order, and got our food fast! Sometimes when u walk into a restaurant that late servers are rood, but ours was a Jem!! You always get free popcorn! The manager was available and asked us how our food was, and our server was amazing! Definitely an awesome place to eat! Food portions were big enough I had to take leftovers home!

My wife and I stopped here for dinner the night before we flew out of GFK to San Francisco for a vacation. We were attracted here by the possibility of gluten free options and they did not disappoint. I had a quesadilla burger that just screamed to me from the menu. It was incredible. As a Canadian I never get served pink burgers but I knew that this was more common in the US than it is at home and went with it. I couldn't believe the taste difference it made and intend to find out why I can't have my burgers done like that at home.

We have been customers of the Ground Round for a few years. The food is always good and I love the atmosphere. Its a great place to watch a game or bring the family for good eats.

The yelp offer brought me in but unfortunately I left pretty disappointed. The free wings were burnt, cold, and appeared to be left over meat from other wing orders. Yes they were free but I won't be ordering the wings again.

Great food and service as usual. One of our favorite places in Grand Forks. They do excellent on steak, cooked the way you order them the first time.

Totally fine.... like the rating, a-okay. (Seems like the other two reviews didn't have as pleasant visit.) Service was very friendly. This place was fairly busy for lunch. AND I got a free appetizer for checking in the yelp app on my iPhone. So all good here! :) The manager even stopped by to check up on us, so I'd have to say the customer service was excellent. The Turkey Pretzel sandwich was yummy!

We had dinner here late on a Sunday night on our way up to Winnipeg. It was nice to find a place like this still open. I had the Southwest Fiesta Chicken Salad. Way too much lettuce. Kind of covered everything else up. It was a lot of salad and I could have used a little more salsa to spice things up. My dining companion had a large, meaty cheeseburger and fries that looked very good. There were TVs all over the place and we watched a football game that was kind of fun. All kinds of different drinks you could order. Nice menu with average fare for this kind of place. Service was good. Value was good. You know, most of these places are pretty much all alike. What they are is convenient, a good value but don't look for anything overyly interesting. I'm glad this place was here, was open and the food was a-ok! I'd go back. The Southwest Fiesta chicken salad included a scoop of guacamole, sour cream, salsa, grilled chicken, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, a fried tortilla bowl and grated cheddar cheese.

One of my favorite restaurants in GF. The salads are awesome. Their soups are delicious, especially Beer Cheese and Broccoli Cheese! The other menu items I've tried are great. My favorites are Taco Grande Salad, Texas Tangler Salad and Italian Nachos! Oh and don't forget the Fried Oreos, yummy! I go there usually once a week. It's nice to have a reliable, consistent restaurant in GF, because there isn't too many.

Gotta love these guys. They put up with my drunken bullshit, for two months. Free food during happy hour. The bartenders are smoking hot too.

The burger special is cheap but the burger tasted like shoe leather and we weren't served any condiments until it was cold.

Good happy-hour deals. That's about it. Service and waitstaff sucks. Slow, inattentive. Food is mediocre at best. Even at slow times, when service and wait times should be good, this place is SLOW.
